EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST / EOI

By submitting the Expression of Interest (EOI) you agree to the following:

  • Contact from the BEA committee and an awards mentor to support the application process.
  • Promotion of your business by the Business Excellence Awards (BEA), including but not limited to newsletters, social media and print.
    Following receipt of the completed MBEA EOI your business will be allocated with an awards mentor and receive an application form.

EOI submission closes on Wednesday 12 June 2019

By submitting the BEA EOI, you are not compelled to complete the application process.

APPLICATION CRITERIA AND ELIGIBILITY

All businesses must submit their entry by completion of a 2019 BEA Application form to be considered eligible.

By entering, you agree to receive correspondence from the event organisers during the term of the Awards Program.

Businesses must meet the following eligibility criteria in order to enter the Business Excellence Awards of Manningham. Each business must:

  • Confirm that their business is either based within the City of Manningham, or has a significant presence and/or client base within the City of Manningham;
  • Have a registered ABN;
  • Complete the Application Form in full
  • Submit the Application Form prior to application closing date of 19 August 2019
  • Be in operation for a minimum of twelve months as of 1 May 2019

By submitting the application form, the Applicant is confirming that their business is either based within the City of Manningham, or has a significant presence and/or client base within the City of Manningham.

All information submitted on the application form must be true and correct at the time of submission.

The event organisers and judges, at their sole discretion, reserve the right to declare an applicant ineligible. All ineligible applicants will be notified accordingly.

Members of the BEA Committee, BEA Sponsors, BEA Media Partners, judges and mentors are ineligible to enter the awards.

Businesses become ineligible to enter if any of following points apply:

If within the last five years and during the judging phase, a business goes into administration, voluntary receivership, liquidation or bankruptcy, or

Is the subject of legal proceedings or malpractice suit

Businesses are able to apply without submission of an EOI.

Applications must be received no later than close of business on Monday 19 August 2019.

Businesses have the right to withdraw their application at any time in writing. Please direct this correspondence to awards@manninghambea.com.au

YOUNG ACHIEVER AWARD

Nominees for this award are for any employee 25 years or younger who meets the following criteria:

  • Is working within the municipality of Manningham
  • has been with the business over 12 month or longer
  • has an outstanding attitude to their work and fellow employees
  • has made a significant contribution to the business (and the community)

How to complete your nomination:

  • Read the criteria to ensure your nomination is valid
  • Download the application form
  • Submit at least 150 words about the nominee, include information such as achievements, initiative, management and leadership
  • Attach any relevant information (photos, newspaper articles, awards, etc…)

Submit the completed application form to awards@manninghambea.com.au by close of business on Friday 19 July 2019.

THE JUDGING PHASE

The judging panel is an independent panel and may include representatives from business, government and academia, selected by the event organisers. The judging panel will protect any Commercial-in-Confidence information submitted by businesses. Their associated companies are ineligible to enter the awards.

Businesses will be contacted by a member of the BEA Committee to make appropriate arrangements for judges to visit each finalist. These visits will occur at a mutually convenient time.

Businesses that become Finalists will be considered by the judging panel to be awarded a Business Excellence Award.

Businesses that receive a Business Excellence Award will be considered by the judging panel to be eligible to be awarded the Manningham Business of the Year.

The Business Excellence Awards judges reserve the right to make the final determination, and there will be no right of appeal.

Any and all information collected by the event organisers will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and only used in accordance with determining the outcome of awards. Basic contact details for each applicant will be supplied to Award sponsors upon request.

Finalists may be contacted by member/s of the judging panel for further information during the judging phase.

MARKETING AND PROMOTION

A business or organisation that completes the EOI or application form agrees that the event organisers may use information about nominees, finalists and winners (not deemed to be Commercial-in-Confidence) for media, promotional or marketing purposes.

You accept that you may be filmed and photographed in relation to the Business Excellence Awards, and that those images may appear in print, online and other forms of media.

Information about the applicants’ business, including information in the public domain, many be used by BEA on any and all forms of social media.

The event organisers are not responsible for the content or privacy policies associated with any linked websites to the official Business Excellence Awards of Manningham website.

All attendees that register for events understand that they will be added to the BEA database for future promotional purposes.

Finalists and award winners will be provided with the BEA logo for use the promotion of their business.

THE EVENT

Event organisers reserve the right to contact finalists prior to the awards presentation if deemed necessary. To receive an award, all finalists (or their representative) must be prepared to attend the awards gala presentation on the evening of Friday 29 November 2019.

Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled. However, tickets may be transferred to another attendee if the purchaser is unable to attend. Please contact the event organisers to action.

The event organisers reserve the right of admission to the Business Excellence Awards of Manningham events.

Advertised programs may be varied without notice. The right to change guest speakers, seating arrangements and venue audience capacity is reserved.

Ticket holders enter the venue at their own risk. The event organisers will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury.
