Responding to the diversity of cultures, ages and abilities in the Manningham Community LL@A provides a wide range of quality activities at an affordable price, in an accessible, approachable meeting place which encourages learning and support and development of community members. Through the development of the Community Hub and Hub Café at Ajani, a wider and more diverse population on the western edge of Manningham has become more engaged with their local community, and participating in the range of services provided at the Hub at Ajani by Doncare, Onemda, Eastern Legal, Manningham Community Health, Whitehorse Manningham Libraries and the Manningham City Council.
The Hub Café has provided training and work experience for unemployed clients from AMES as well as new skills and work experience for the Onemda Leap clients. Some 50% of the AMES clients involved with projects offered by LL@A during 2016 have gained employment.
Together with the range of educational, leisure, health and wellbeing programs LL@A continues to respond to the needs of the community.
