Café 21 is a boutique family-owned and operated business. We were established in 2003. We are located in the heart of Macedon Square Shopping Centre, Lower Templestowe. We have seating for 40 people indoors and 18 people outdoors. We specialise in home made fine foods and gourmet fare. We are open 7 days a week, until 4pm on weekdays and 2pm on the weekends. Daily, we offer homestyle breakfasts, light lunch meals, fresh sandwiches, healthy wraps and specialty focaccias. All our light lunch meals are prepared & cooked on the premises.

Mario and Suzie pride themselves in offering honest food, passionate service and quality Arabica coffee beans that serve a delicious espresso every time. Mario and Suzie have a combined 40 years of hospitality, culinary and business experience that puts us at the forefront of serving our customers. We have a genuine devotion to offering food and beverages that serves all demographics of the local community. We offer a tailored catering menu for special occasions and office meetings.

Our understanding of customers’ health concerns is paramount. As Suzie herself is lactose intolerant, we offer soy milk, rice milk and almond milk at no extra charge. Also, we offer an extensive range of flourless sweets. Furthermore many of our light homestyle meals are gluten free (bacon, breads, salads, soups, etc.).

Mario’s unique bubbly personality, combined with his hospitality experience gives him an innovative edge in serving customers. He listens carefully and patiently to customers tastes. He remains always open minded and non-judgemental.
